The glass used for sun control is either coated or coloured in bulk, or both coated and coloured in bulk. Coated glass works primarily through reflecting beams of energy outside. The efficiency of coloured in bulk works by absorbing radiation. Coloured in bulk and coated glass works both by absorption and reflection of energy. Sun-control glass can be combined with any other type of glass. It allows for effective sun protection in summer, efficient protection in winter, and in turn energy cost reduction.
